Anthropic, creator of the Claude chatbot, has successfully raised $30 billion in new funding, establishing a corporate valuation of $380 billion. This represents more than a doubling from the company’s September valuation of $183 billion.
The investment was led by GIC and Coatue Management, two prominent institutional investors. The transaction stands as one of the largest private capital raises on record, illustrating the substantial financial commitments being made in the AI industry.
The company’s revenue performance has been exceptional, reaching $14 billion on an annualized basis. Anthropic has maintained tenfold annual revenue growth for three straight years, positioning it among the fastest-growing companies in the technology sector.
Claude Code, an AI-powered tool for software developers that launched for general use in May 2025, has contributed significantly to revenue growth. The product has found strong adoption among businesses seeking to leverage AI for programming and development tasks.
Despite high operational costs, Anthropic forecasts improving financial metrics. The company projects reducing cash burn to approximately one-third of revenue in 2026, declining to just 9% by 2027, with a target of achieving profitability by 2028.
