Anutin Announces Steps to Rebuild Trust Between Thailand and Cambodia

At a pivotal meeting held at the Shangri-La Mactan hotel in Cebu, Philippines, key discussions about the Thailand-Cambodia situation were undertaken by Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, and Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. The meeting commenced at 6 pm local time and was orchestrated by the Philippines, serving as the ASEAN chair, as confirmed by Rachada Dhanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office.

Following the trilateral talks, a press conference was conducted, led by President Marcos Jr., in his role as ASEAN chair. He was succeeded by Prime Minister Hun Manet and then Prime Minister Anutin, who expressed gratitude to the Philippine leader for organizing the significant meeting. Anutin described his dialogue with the Cambodian prime minister as both constructive and forward-looking, noting that the talks were characterized by frankness and substantial meaning.
